Open Question: Is It Illegal for a Company to Make a Negative Mark on My Credit Report Due to an Error in Their System?
Last year in Oct 2008, AT&T had a system error that reported me to a collections agency for a bill that I was supposed to have been credited for. When I received the collections letter I called AT&T the same day and spoke with accounts receivable who apologized, confirmed I owed no money, and said that my account would be credited and the collection agency informed I was not negligent. Immediately after I spoke with AT&T, I informed the collection agency of this and advised them AT&T would be contacting them shortly.

Almost a year later, in Aug 2009, I applied for a credit card in order to build credit so that I can receive a car loan. I was denied because of a negative mark on my credit report. The only negative mark was from the AT&T account that I should have been credited for in 2008. I also began receiving phonecalls and letters from a different collections agency stating that I owe AT&T money on the account that should have been settled a year ago.

I called AT&T and was connected with one of the supervisors, who apologized profusely, and said that there had been a system error. My account had been credited on one system, but not on the other, so the system with the error had automatically sent me to collections. She said she personally would see that all systems were updated and the collections agencies would be notified.

Has AT&T broken any laws through negligent use of their system, resulting in me being falsely reported with an invalid mark made on my credit report as a result? Because of this undue negative mark, I was denied credit, when otherwise I would have received it. Is this something that can be taken to court? If it makes any difference I live in Oklahoma.

Open Question: Have you been to Amarillo Texas?
I moved from Michigan to Arizona 2 weeks ago. My boyfriend drove us all the way there. Driving 40 west We had to stop in Amarillo to sleep. The whole city is horrible, everything looks like trash. The houses were falling apart. The first person I saw there was some crackhead lady, She was scary looking. She was so dirty, her clothes were broken, her eyes were red. SHE LOOKED LIKE A ZOMBIE. There were safes in the room and signs that said We are not responsible for stolen cars? Its the worst ghetto Ive ever seen. I thought it was worst than Detroit. When I was on the second floor of our motel trying to find my room, my bf was in the car, A guy in a white van started screaming to me. I looked and I got so scared I try to go to my car, the guy ask me something about the mall. Didnt say anything. He was like Where are you from? and followed me for a second, until he saw I was with a guy. Then a guy from another parking lot screamed at me too. Thing is even though im 22 i look like im 17. It was the worst experience ever. Drove across the country. Illinois, Missoury, Oklahoma, Texas and New Mexico, Stop in many towns and cities in all those states but nothing was as bad as Amarillo.

My question is What is wrong with this town? Why is it that way?

Open Question: My Nitemate, I need help now or soon.?
So Last Night Was The Worst Night Of My Life ever living in oklahoma. I dont even wanna be here. Tt was truly a nitemare and will probably traumatize me for the rest of my life and I don’t wanna talk to a counseler about it either.
Last night around 9 me and my mom were driving home and the road we were on didnt have any lights and then suddnely in the headlights a woman was running across the street and we hit her because she was wearing all black and there was no lights and she landed on my side of the window and broke it and fell over on my side and looked at me and my mom before she fell off.
It was the scariest moment ever.
Then we ran out of the car and people called the police and they showed up and then 6 more cops showed up then they took her on a stretcher and her head was cracked open
Then we got sent home and I was terrified.
I had to sleep with the lights on and a knife under my bed I was so scared.
Today we found out she is still in the er with a couple broken bones but she is talking and breathing so shes okay but there still watching her.
But now because of this I cant leave my moms side im so afraid of what happened.
Then to make things worse I told my friend about what had happened and she if my best friend and the one I would trust but then I said “I wanna get on the computer but im afraid of what happened” and then she kept making jokes saying “shes behind you” “shes going to kill you” “she has a knife” now im even more afraid so I locked all the windows and doors.
I dont know how to forget this all and then what if people find out a school and call me names because of this.
Idk what to do.
The woman was also found drunk and trying to get money from people to get more beer and also was trying to get into other peoples car and kept running in front of everyones cars.

My auto dealer removed my new car window sticker and “lost it” and continues to say a duplicate will be obtained but it never happens and my calls are now ignored. As you know the USA is run now by democratic Congress , Senate and now a very Socialist President.
The South as in Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama with Oklahoma and Texas are disgusted by the actions of the three branches.
They believe in “Big” government, and to succeed they keep taxing the people and bailing out Auto companies which now the government own. Not to say they did the same for the banks here.
As in any company 51% you are the owner.
Now to my question. If these states seceded from the Union would you the public not the Government . I know that answer, but the people of United Kingdom. Would you support us.
We believe in a capitalist run state and a very small government.
We are a God fearing Country and we beleive that it is a right to bare arms.
If a company such as a bank , auto dealer etc.. fails another – better would and will take its place . Not to support Union workers and public health care. To abolish Federal income tax and the death tax.

Hello guys, i live in Co and recently bought a Toyota Solora 2000 for 5500. when i asked the dealer if it has been in an accident, he said no. but today when i pulled the car fax report i found out it had been in an accident.
The car was sold as is. i am stupid enough to not pull the record before i bought the car.
would you guys please look at this carfax report and let me know if it’s a good deal or a bad deal. if it’s a bad deal, what can i do about it now? the guy hasn’t given me the title paper yet, he said the printer is broken but i have the bill of sale and i paid in checks.
